No Pants, No Problem!

Local Event:
The name says it all really. Expect mayhem, debauchery and a mild case of the itchies after a good ol dirty evening of "no pants" fun. Taking place at Sneaky Dee's, the notorious queer/gender bending emporium of underground gay culture is sure to throw a party to not be forgotten, unless you were to drunk to remember. Not only do you get to party with your pants off, but you also get to help raise money to support the Toronto AIDS Walk For Life folks. The fine folks organizing this have included some simple and easy to follow steps to ensure you have a good "no pants" evening:

Step 1 - You come and the door girls asks you "pants or no pants?"
Step 2 - You remove your pants and place them in the Pant Check
Step 3 - You get some drinks, play some party games, dance to guilty pleasures, kiss the person in the kissing booth, watch the other cute people walk around in their underwear, get free info and condoms at the safer sex booth...

Check out the FaceBook Event Page for more dirty details.

No Nudity But Its Still A Sexy Subversive Post

Were all about subversive art in its many forms, and while the dirty ones may be our favorites, we also love anything that challenges regular or conventional boundaries in our world. As luck has it, Toronto has a ton of great urban thinkers and stinkers. While there is no naked guys in this post, its still sexy as ever.

Enter: Posterchild

This local graffiti/tag/public and social space artist is one of our favorites. His cleaver and untraditional approach to street art keeps his work fresh and often hilarious, while still keeping true to its roots of making important statement about public space and art, and how they are connected. His work questions and challenges us to rethink about common everyday things and items in our public spaces, and that is something we think is very important, especially in todays over-saturated media world.

He just put in a new project today over on Spadina by College street. Go check it out if your around the neighborhood, and keep your eyes peeled for other interesting public works from this local and sneaky genius.

Heres what he said about his newest work:

"I’ve always been amazed by the state of most flyerboxes. More often that not, they are empty. Some haven’t been filled in years. Yet, there they are: everywhere in the city- at every intersection. Taking up valuable sidewalk space. Some are supposed to offer free news and culture print publications that make revenue from ads, some are supposed to offer free junk-mail type publications, with the expectation that someone will stop and take one completely beyond me. A rare few are supposed to offer a free publication of a certain political or religious leaning- probably bankrolled by whatever church or group can finance the publication of that message. For whatever reason, a great many of them offer nothing but an empty box."

Talk about vessel envy, Local Toronto artist makes us wish we could be reincarnated as a red vase

Why do we suddenly want to be filled up with water and hold a bunch of fresh flowers.... Maybe its because we are a little envious of the red vase pictured above in the brilliant new work by local Toronto artist Chris Curreri . Talk about vessel envy, we know what we want to come back as in our next lives, and its not Madonna...

In his first set, entitled Puppet (minds out of the gutter boys), his provocative and intriguing photos explore the relationships and interactions between two vessels, the human body and the unchanging red vase. While the human body as a vessel changes and reacts to its surrounding environment, the red vase remains immobile and fixed. As the human vessel interacts with the red vase, it adapts to the unchangeable solid object and explores possible relationships with it. This play between the two vessels discusses how we as humans change and adapt to what is unchangeable around us, both physically and those things that exist in the intangible realm.

The second set of photos, entitled Handle, further explores this theme of interactions between animate and inanimate objects. The openings to the red vases, which simulate orifices of the human body, are prodded, entered and fully encapsulate the human hand. This interaction can be taken on all sorts of levels, so let your minds run wild with this one. Personally, our minds went straight to the interactions between inanimate sex toys and the human bodies they are inserted into. It also reminds us of a crazy night we spent in a back alley with a bottle of gin and some go go boys in NYC a few years ago, but thats a whole other story....Is it hot in here....

Check out the amazing works in person showing right now at the Diaz Contemporary Galley , located at 100 Niagra Street. The show runs until may 9th, so hurry up and get over to the gallery if you want to check it out, or be checked out. Im sure there will be tons of hot artsy homo types loitering around, just waiting to bump into their next spring romance, or make out session behind the gallery.... Spring is in the air boys.

Naked Sundays

Fantastic Homo photographer Mckenzie James, and a fast friend of Sybrandt, our Editor in Chief here at BLEW magazine, has recently started blogging, and well, we love it. Rumor has it, he has been, what some would call, Sybrandts right hand (thats the one he also use to masturbate with by the way) and they are cooking up some great stuff for the magazine. They recently collaborated on a fantastic photo shoot with the beautiful model Alexx, which we will be posting for your viewing fun shortly.

He has also been hosting, as of late, what he likes to call "Naked Sundays" at his fantastically hot studio over in the east end, and its been pumping out some great shots that we just had to share with you. Any of you hot Homos want to drop your shorts and jump in front of the camera, feel free to contact him and see where it goes.

Fresh back from a few weeks in NYC, Mckenzie is sure to have tons of great shots and interesting stories for you to check out, so take a wander over to his blog, or check out his pro site. We are extremely thankful for all the support and work he has put in thus far, and we are very excited to be working with him as a contributor and a friend.

Dominic, 21 year old model is part lezbian/jock/helpless romantic

Meet Dominic, our newest addition to the team of contributors and models at our lovely little homo magazine BLEW. You can thank Tristan, our very first and fantastic ginger model, who introduced us to him, and who is also, very good buddies with him. Both of these beautiful men live in the fantastic city of Montreal, where BLEW will be visiting very soon, to scout out some more of that great hot talent that Canada has an abundance of. Talk about natural resources.

Heres what he had to say about himself:

"I guess the best way to describe me is that im a guy, who is happy to be a guy, who happens to like other guys. I love the outdoors, i love sports [ high school swim team ! ] and i go to the gym basicly 5 times a week. I love the feeling i get after anything athletic. and theres the masculine aspect of it that drives me wild too, ha ha ha. When it comes to music, im a lesbian, i love my folk: sarah harmer, patty griffin, joanna newsome, beth orton, tegan & sara, damien rice, etc. I am a HUGE hopeless romantic, havent found my man yet but i know it will happen someday. cant rush these things haha. I came out to everyone at 15 and just wanted to be someone other gay guys could look up to you know. A sort of hey you can be gay and happy and normal too kind of thing. I was one of the first in my highschool, and it whent surprisingly well."

Sexy Montreal photographer Toxicboy will knock your dirty little sport socks off

Toxicboy, a.k.a Mikel Marton, is one sexy talented motherfucker, and we love his work. His creative vision, keen eye and deeply personal photos have touched a special part of our hearts here at BLEW magazine (the part we thought was long dead). His work often features himself as the model, bringing an intensely self exploratory theme to the pieces, and it doesn't hurt that hes fucking georgous. This Montreal based artist is currently represented by Envoy Gallery in NYC, and he just loves to push the limits with his work, which is what we are all about here at BLEW. We have been talking with him for a bit now, and he has agreed to be a contributor to our sexy little homo magazine. We couldn't be happier to be working with his sexy ass, and we just know that whatever he comes up with will knock your dirty little sport socks off.

Here is a sexy little excerpt from his bio, which you can read in its entierty on his web site.

"Confronting people's traditional boundaries regarding the male body (and all its parts) Mikels main goal is to physically express male sexuality without perversion, and to prove the male form as an artistic equal to the female form. Both challenging and sensitive, his vision succeeds to create a body of work that portrays men, entirely exposed and infused with beauty. He says, "Male sexuality has become demonized in many ways, and I aim to prove that even an erect penis can be beautiful, and a sensitive, powerful artistic focus"

Mikel's repertoire incorporates gender, desire, mythology and technology as a defiant physical expression of sexuality, as well as the metaphysical. Through his creations, he casts a dream-world of unearthly male beauty: " I make gods, not humans. It all comes from my fetish for mythology. I want to transcend physical with the physical. There is no longer just external, but emotion and physicality become one." Though his work focuses on photographs of beautiful young men, his few images of sexually-empowered she-warriors come from his life long obsession with powerful women, complimenting and contradicting his childhood idolization of female comic book characters.
"

Now thats one hot little mandate, or at least we think so......

You can't keep a hot ginger down

We are back from abroad, and hitting the pavement running. We have been working our gay little fingers to the bone over here at the magazine, trying to play catchup from almost 3 weeks of drinking 1 euro beer in the sunny streets and getting into all sorts of bad boy trouble in Europe. Its a good think we brought all those cute undies with us, we sure needed them. I have all sorts of dirty stories, but you will have to get me drunk to get those out of me.

Now some news on the magazine. We have been working on getting the photos from our very first photo shoot from Montreal sorted through, edited, and organized. The fantastic photographer Riki N and our hot hot broken but still very dexterous ginger model Tristan (who is once again fully mobile and sans cast) have been working long, hard and sweaty hours over at their Montreal studio to bring us some great photos for our very first issue of Blew Magazine. Im very excited to have them working as contributors to the magazine and bringing their talent and beauty to my little project. There is more in the works for when the weather gets warmer, so keep checking back for more hot ginger fun from Riki and Tristan.

More great shots of our hot ginger model Tristan.....

Homos with guitars....

If you like boys, and music, and were at the Beaver last night, then you probably have heard of Gentleman Reg. Or maybe you have had a chance encounter with this hot young rising pop star, who's white-blond cherub like locks may look angelic, but from what I hear, hes quite the little devil. He will be performing for Homos and other assorted gays alike on February 24th at Soundscapes if you missed him at the Beaver last night. His album, "Jet Black", is a homo-popesque ramble through ups and downs and it makes for a great party soundtrack or easy Sunday afternoons on the sofa listening. Maybe one day he will pose for us, but until then, we will just have to use or imagination.......or you can scroll down for more photos to drool over...

Tristan, 26 year old hot ginger homo, loves laughing, floating in bathtubs of milk, and looks fantastic doing it

Things are rolling along rather quickly over here at BLEW Magazine. We are all pretty excited to shoot our first ever photos this Sunday in Montreal with the beautiful 26 year old homo model/artist Tristan, and the fantastic photographer Riki Ndinga Oba. Take a look at some of the photos Tristan and Riki sent from previous photo shoots they have done together. This should  give you a good idea at what we have up our sleeve for the first issue.

These two hot homos are rising stars on the gay art scene, with more talent than will fit into a pair of tighty whities (and trust us, we know). Their work speaks for itself. We have added Riki's link to the "Fantastic" list so feel free to check out some of his photos he's done for other shoots and magazines. There is even a whole section for our beautiful ginger homo, Tristan, so take a look through and see what you think.

Tristan has promised to do anything and everything we ask for the photo shoot, as long as he doesn't end up bleeding or in the hospital (again...). We told him we will be gentile with him, as he is already in a leg cast. How did he end up with a broken leg....well, thats something you will have to ask him yourself (we promised not to tell). If you really want to know though, then stay tuned for a fantastic interview with both Tristan and Riki, coming this week.
