Censor This; or Musical Muffins Fight The Power With Guilty Pleasures Playlist

With the sun on our faces and coffee in our one hand and our other down our pants, we know its going to be a good hump day already. Our Facebook Fan Page has not been re-removed, so far, by our ever watchful right wing bed buddies, and that makes us very happy. What better way to celebrate this by a new fucking awesome, fight for our rights, fuck the man, censorship playlist by the one and only music muffin extraordinare, Alessandro. His last playlist was such a huge fucking success (thanks for all your nice e-mails and comments you dirty sluts) that we had to bring him back for yet another round of aural pleasures. This sexy and talented muffin is packed with all sorts of dirty goodness and sprinkled with delicious nutritious fun, and he isn't afraid to get dirty with the BLEW boys. Now thats a muffin we can get behind.

Alessandro packed this playlist full of nostalgic dirty and controversial songs from groundbreaking rising artists from our youth, artists that weren't afraid to get banned from the air waves to scream out their rights to freedom of expression. From the Filthy 15 (oh you little rascal Tipper Gore), to some more recent dark and dirty artists, he has put together a nostalgic and powerful playlist that fucks censorship in the ass, and doesn't pull out when it starts to hurt.

Censor This!!!

Now a word from our Musical Muffin Alessandro:

Hey Sinners,

After reading what happened to Sybrandt and Blew Magazine's Facebook page, I decided what better way to counteract and gear-up for Blew's fight on "freedom of expression", and create: Guilty Pleasures - The Playlist. On it you will find some of Tipper Gore's filthy favourties, including the song that started it all "Darling Nikki" by Prince and The Revolution as well as appearances from some of the music industry's most controversial artists including Madonna, George Michael, Marilyn Manson, M.J. and Lil' Kim (just to highlight a few). A couple of "fight the man" tracks made the list including Bob Marley's "War" (the song that Sinéad O'Connor covered on SNL, ripped a photo of the Pope and essentially ended her career) and Public Enemy's "Fight The Power". Whether it was the understated S&M tone of Devo's "Whip It", Cyndi Lauper's pop "masterbation" anthem "She Bop", or the simplistic message of Matthew Wilder's chorus in "Break My Stride", this is a collection of tunes that will surely aid us in our struggle against whomever is intent on preventing us from getting off.
